PATRICK BANFIELD – FOUNDING PARTNER

Patrick has successfully represented employees before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board and in state federal courts throughout New England, in cases involving wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, non-compete disputes, misclassification of employment, and wage and hour matters.

Patrick was an Executive Officer of MELA, the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association.

Prior to exclusively representing employees, Patrick defended lawsuits involving toxic tort matters, personal injury, premises liability, insurance coverage disputes, construction defect claims, and contract actions at two prestigious civil litigation law firms in Boston.  Patrick gained valuable insight from his prior defense work, which guides him in aggressively and zealously pursuing the claims of individual employees, negotiating settlements, and trying cases before juries when necessary.

Patrick has a track record of proven results, having achieved dozens of six figure settlements and favorable outcomes on behalf of his clients in wrongful termination and wage and hour matters.

Patrick is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Patrick received his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, where he was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship, and his B.A. from the University of Vermont.

Having grown up in Dorchester, Patrick is a lifelong resident of Boston, an avid Boston Bruins fan, and graduate of Boston Latin School.  He currently resides in Jamaica Plain with his family and enjoys running, writing, hockey, reading, and the outdoors.

ALEJANDRA HUNG – MANAGING PARTNER

Alejandra (Alex) Hung is Managing Partner of Banfield Hung Law Firm.  Alejandra is an experienced and dedicated litigator with extensive private and public sector experience.  She concentrates her practice exclusively in labor and employment law representing employees.

Prior to joining the firm, Alejandra was a Field Attorney at the National Labor Relations Board in the Boston Regional office, where she investigated and litigated complex unfair labor practice cases involving employers, unions, and employees across industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, retail, and hospitality.  She also acted as the Agency’s Equal Employment Opportunity Counselor, advising and navigating complainants through the EEO process and served as an Executive Board Member of the NLRB’s Union.  Additionally, Alejandra completed a detail at the Agency’s Public Relations Office, at its Washington, D.C. office, focused on strategic media relations and communications.

Prior to the NLRB, Alejandra was a litigation associate at a prominent Boston law firm, where she defended product liability and defect claims lawsuits.  Alejandra also was an Assistant General Counsel at the Massachusetts Department of Telecommunications and Cable where she handled cable rate regulation matters and adjudicated telecommunication carrier disputes.  She began her legal career as a law clerk to the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Courts, in the trial courts of Suffolk, Norfolk, and Middlesex County.

Alejandra is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and in the United States District Court for Massachusetts.

Alejandra received her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, where she was a Legal Practice Instructor, and her B.A. from Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Alejandra hails from Miami, Florida and resides in Boston. She is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Cantonese.   She enjoys cooking, fitness, reading, travel and the outdoors.
